At Car Lock Systems, safety has been our top priority for decades

As a supplier of OEM car keys and locking systems, we carry a great responsibility: every product ordered through us must end up in the right hands.

That is why entering a chassis number for every key or lock order is not just a practical step, but a crucial part of our safety procedures. This allows us to select the correct parts, but above all, to carry out a thorough check.

For Dutch vehicles, we automatically check the RDW database during the ordering process to see if the vehicle is registered as stolen. If there is a “hit,” the order is immediately put on hold and we contact the relevant authorities. Only after we receive explicit approval is the order resumed. Random checks are also conducted afterwards to detect and prevent misuse.

This approach has proven to be extremely effective. That is why we have been in discussions with European authorities for some time to make this safety model more widely applicable.
Our goal is clear: to check vehicles across Europe and reduce vehicle crime across borders.

This week, we are taking an important next step.

At the INTERPOL 5th Global Conference on Vehicle Crime in Lyon, we will present how we have developed a fully secure ordering process, designed to prevent criminals from obtaining car keys or components through Car Lock Systems.

Car keys are security-critical products. That is why we take our role very seriously and continue to invest in technological and operational measures that contribute to a safer Europe.

We look forward to working together with INTERPOL and other European organizations toward a future in which vehicle crime has fewer and fewer opportunities. We also hope to announce soon that our security scan will be available across Europe.
